Marrieds at the Legion of Honor.
John S Lens, Cano Cafenol Film, No Flash, Taken with Hipstamatic
I keep seeing people in their wedding clothes around the city. It makes sense because this is a very scenic city and makes for good photos. M is surprised at my surprise, and my interest in catching these couples at a distance. It starts out inadvertently, but now I find that when I’m out, I’m looking for these married people to get their pictures. Not sure why.

Otis’ “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” was conceived when he was living in Sausalito, not long after his famous Monterey Pop performance. He didn’t live to see the song come out; his plane crashed into Lake Monona in Madison, WI. I thought often of him when I was in school there, and these days I think about the song whenever I see a ship roll in, or roll out. I’ve seen it a few times but it’s still magical to watch one steam into the sunset.
