Golden Gate Bridge
Golden Gate
Golden Gate Bridge on a sunny day.
Long way down to San Francisco Bay.
This one’s just to give a sense of scale. I’m drawn to the bridge, but it does terrify me. I’m afraid of heights, and it’s always windy as hell. The railing is never far from my hand, and I hold on extra tight to my phone so I don’t drop it into the bay. There’s an element of morbid curiosity at play. I think about that high school kid that was messing around up there and fell in and lived. I wonder when the sense of terror went away (subsumed by the embarrassment).
